IPSCO Place

Located just a few minutes from downtown is IPSCO Place, one of Canada’s largest and most influential event complexes.  It is a centre of excellence for agri-business, entertainment, tradeshows, sporting, recreational and cultural activities.  The Brandt Centre is home to the Western Hockey League’s Regina Pats and has also been a venue for many top names in the entertainment industry, most recently Elton John, Sheryl Crow, Rush and Avril Lavigne. 

IPSCO Place is also home to the popular Taste of Spring, a celebration of wine and food.  In mid-June, the Western Canada Farm Progress Show presented by Viterra – takes place throughout the event site and encompasses nearly 1.5 million feet of exhibit space.  Canada’s National Farm Show is the largest dryland farming technology and equipment show in the country.  It’s “where the world of agriculture comes together” since 40,000 attendees from over 30 countries attend every year.  In early August, thousands of excited people come to IPSCO Place to celebrate summer in Saskatchewan with Buffalo Days – the provincial exhibition.  In late fall, it’s the host site for Canadian Western Agribition, North America’s second-largest cattle show.  IPSCO Place is currently expanding and upgrading its facilities with a comprehensive “Revitalization & Redevelopment Project”.  Phase One of this project will see six multi-use arenas added to the event site as well as additional seating and upgrades done to the Brandt Centre.

Royal Red Arabian horse show

Late August brings the Royal Red Arabian horse show, a must for all equestrian lovers and one of many major summertime festivities in Regina. Speaking of festivities, don’t forget the ever-popular Regina Mosaic Festival of Cultures, where tastes, sounds, and traditions from all corners of the earth meet for a cultural show unlike any other. Or, if you’re a fan of country music, you’re sure to love the Craven Country Jamboree in July, which features some of the top performers from Nashville, Canada and beyond.
